A man was arrested after police say he and an accomplice robbed a woman at her Cobb County motel room, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Tavalas Beasley remained in the Cobb County jail on armed robbery and aggravated assault charges in the May 23 attack, according to court and jail records.
Beasley and his accomplice met the victim at a club in Atlanta and they spent a few hours together, Channel 2 reported. When she couldn’t find a taxi, Beasley offered the woman a ride and she accepted, according to the news station.
The men took the victim to a room she was renting at the Rodeway Inn near Six Flags, talked to her for a bit and then left, Channel 2 reported.
But police said the men came back — this time with a gun. They allegedly made off with $200.
Police arrested Beasley early Wednesday morning, according to jail records. They used surveillance footage to identify him, Channel 2 reported.
Details about the accomplice have not been released.
