Marietta police are investigating allegations that a man made inappropriate contact with young girls in the wave pool of White Water Amusement Park at 250 Cobb Parkway.
“Numerous witnesses have identified a suspect described as an older white male between the ages of 50-70 with white hair,” Marietta police spokesman David Baldwin said in a news release Thursday.
Baldwin said witnesses told police they saw the suspect have inappropriate contact with girls between ages 6 and 12 in the wave pool between the end of August and beginning of September. Police did not say what the contact was.
Detectives asked parents to question their female children between 6 to 12 years of age who were at the wave pool in White Water during that time if they experienced anything suspicious involving a man fitting the description.
Authorities said they have identified a suspect but did not disclose any information about him.
