He was well-dressed, complete with a long tan coat and a fedora, when he walked into the Bella Bag store in Buckhead around 11 a.m. Monday, according to police.

But the man had no intention of actually buying anything. Instead, he grabbed six Louis Vuitton purses from the shelves and ran, even swinging one of the bags at a store clerk as he left.

Video surveillance cameras captured the man, who later got into a black sedan with tinted windows being driven by someone else. Now, Atlanta police would like to find the man who grabbed the purses, valued between $2,700 and $3,100 each, bringing the total to more than $19,000, including tax.

The man was described as being clean shaven with long dreads, between 5-foot-11 and 6 feet tall, and wearing round glasses, according to police.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Tips can be submitted anonymously, and tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
