Fayetteville police are searching for a man they say fired a shot into another driver’s car during an argument in a Kroger parking lot.

The shooting occurred about 2:30 p.m. Friday in the shopping center on South Glynn Street, police said in a Facebook post.

Investigators are calling the shooting a “road rage incident,” but it’s unclear what prompted the dispute. The other driver was not injured.

The shooter, who was driving a gray SUV or minivan, is believed to have fled south on Ga. 85, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the incident or the shooter’s identity is asked to call detectives at 770-719-4226. Tipsters can choose to remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
