A 33-year-old man was killed Sunday night when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a tree, according to Atlanta police.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 11 p.m. at Decatur Street near Jesse Hill Jr. Drive in southeast Atlanta, police said.

Investigators believe Julius Black left the road after losing control of the motorcycle and hit the tree. Black died from his injuries.

Statewide, 15 people were killed in crashes over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
