A Canton man charged with 50 counts of sexual exploitation of children is free on bond, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities last week arrested Dwight Watson after a two-month investigation that included searches of his computers, Cherokee sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said.
Investigators with the sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit said Watson is one of the most active child porn consumers in Georgia. Tens of thousands of “files of interest” containing images and videos were on Watson’s computers, Baker said.
Watson, 43, was released Friday afternoon from the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on $50,000 bond, Baker said.
