DeKalb County police Monday were investigating the overnight shooting of a man found dead behind the wheel of a sport utility vehicle that had crashed into a parked car off Memorial Drive.
Someone flagged down officers about midnight to report that a man was dead inside a vehicle sitting in the middle of Line Circle.
“After he was shot, he was able to drive his vehicle a short distance before striking another car,” DeKalb police Lt. Mark Levigne told Channel 2 Action News. “His vehicle came to rest and that’s where DeKalb police found that individual.”
Police have not released the dead man’s name or a motive for the shooting.
