Police are investigating a fatal shooting early Friday morning in southwest Atlanta.

A report of shots fired at the Brentwood Village Apartments around 12:30 a.m. brought officers to the complex in the 1900 block of Alison Court, police said.

They arrived to find a man shot dead in the breezeway of the one of the buildings, Channel 2 Action News reports.

“It’s just spread out,” Atlanta Police Maj. Darryl Tolleson told Channel 2 of the investigation.

Investigators are looking for witnesses.

The victim has not been identified, and police have not determined a suspect or motive.
