He's accused of robbing a Burger King, Racetrac and QuikTrip gas stations, and a Little Caesar's pizza restaurant at gunpoint.
And Thursday, the 26-year-old Kennesaw man was behind bars at the DeKalb County jail.
Bobby Lane Carpenter was arrested without incident Wednesday afternoon by Doraville police on armed robbery charges, DeKalb jail records showed. Carpenter, who was being held without bond, is also linked to robberies in other jurisdictions, according to police.
Cobb County police and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office have also charged Carpenter with various crimes, both agencies said.
Carpenter was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault for an incident Oct. 5 at the Burger King on Bells Ferry Road near Kennesaw, Sgt. Dana Pierce with Cobb police said. On Oct. 6, Carpenter alleged robbed a Racetrac also on Bells Ferry. He was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault in that incident, Pierce said.
Then, on Oct. 11, Carpenter allegedly robbed a QuikTrip on Bells Ferry Road. On Tuesday, Carpenter allegedly entered the Little Caesar’s on Ga. 92, near Acworth, showed off his gun and demanded cash, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. In that case, Carpenter has been charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Lt. Jay Baker said.
