‘Love & Hip Hop’ star must wait a week for probation ruling

Atlanta rapper and reality TV personality Lil’ Scrappy will have to wait a week to learn if a judge will revoke his probation.

The 29-year-old Darryl Richardson, a cast member on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hip: Atlanta” was ordered Wednesday to provide a urine sample to test for illegal drugs.

Prosecutors alleged that he switched his urine during a routine drug screening that is required as a condition of his probation.

Richardson is on probation for a 2008 first-offender plea to felony marijuana and gun possession charges.

On Wednesday, DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Daniel Coursey continued the probation revocation hearing until next Wednesday to allow the urine sample to be processed and to make a ruling accordingly.

VH1’s popular “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” explores the volatile relationships of a host of cast members, including Richardson’s ties to his fiancee’ and “baby mama” Erica Dixon, and with Grammy award-winning producer Stevie J.

He is an original cast member of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” which debuted last June with 1.9 million viewers, but its season finale drew a series high of 4.4 million, more than any episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

The show is currently in it’s second season.

The hearing is scheduled for May 22 at 8:30 a.m.
