The nephew of a Georgia state representative was shot and killed Saturday in Clayton County, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Quinn Keevon Heckstall, the 20-year-old nephew of state Rep. Joe Heckstall (D-East Point), was shot Saturday while visiting his girlfriend at an apartment complex off Mount Zion Parkway in Jonesboro, relatives told Channel 2.
Police have not released a motive for the slaying, or said whether investigators have any suspects in the shooting.
The representative told Channel 2 he wanted to “pray for the people who did this because I think they need help, both psychologically and emotionally; especially spiritually.”
