Two people, one of whom is a juvenile, have been arrested after they allegedly set a Duluth business complex on fire last month, a Gwinnett County fire spokesman said Friday.

Stanley Leon Roberson, 18, and a 13-year-old boy have been charged with first degree arson, a felony, and criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, fire spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge said.

After they were arrested Thursday, Roberson was taken to the Gwinnett Detention Center by Duluth police, and the juvenile was taken to a youth detention facility by a Gwinnett sheriff’s deputy, Rutledge said.

The suspects live at the same Duluth address, though they are not believed to be related, Rutledge said. Robinson is a Duluth High School student, police records show.

Surveillance footage from the June 25 fire shows young men setting fire to a picnic table and umbrella on the back deck of the building in the 3600 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. Investigators said the fire spread to an overhang and eventually the roof.

When firefighters arrived, much of the building was engulfed in flames and the fire had spread to the woods behind the complex, authorities said.

The fire caused substantial damage to Suite 300 of the business complex, which houses Allied International Cleaning Services Inc., a commercial cleaning company, The AJC reported. According to fire officials, the business was closed at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

No other information about the case and the arrests will be released at this time, Rutledge said.
