Jailer accused of sex crime with inmate
A jailer in Lincoln County was charged with felony sexual assault.

Aug 1, 2016A jailer in east Georgia is accused of sexual misconduct with an inmate at a detention center.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation charged a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office jailer with felony sexual assault by persons with supervisory or disciplinary authority, The Augusta Chronicle reported.
Austin Luke Collins, 23, surrendered Sunday, the paper reported. He was later released on bond.
Lincoln County is north of Augusta, about 135 miles from Atlanta.
