Police released an image of a man accused of robbing a Subway worker at gunpoint last November in Gwinnett County.

The man is accused of robbing the Subway employee at the 3230 Medlock Bridge Road location after first requesting hand soap from the employee.

Deon Washington, a public information officer for Gwinnett County police, said the suspect walked into the restaurant’s restroom around 9 a.m. Nov. 9 then returned shortly afterward and requested hand soap from the Subway employee.

To assist the man, the worker opened the side door separating the public area from an area of the restaurant for employees only, Washington said.

That’s when the man, revealing a silver revolver from his waistband, allegedly kicked the employee to the ground and dragged him to the cash register, Washington said.

The suspect is believed to have stolen about $400 from the register and the employee’s wallet before fleeing on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call the robbery unit at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404 577-TIPS (8477).
