A man is wanted after shootings in a mobile home park and a Goodwill parking lot, police said.
Four people, including two teens, have already been arrested on unspecified charges in connection with the crimes, which occurred within a span of four hours Friday and are related to a string of gang-related shootings in Athens, according to authorities.
However, the search for Terique Eberhart continues.
About 1 p.m., officers went to the Spring Valley Mobile Home Park, the scene of the first shooting, Athens-Clarke County police spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez said.
“Multiple rounds were located at the scene,” he said. “No one was hurt and there was no property damaged.”
Police were told a white Pontiac Grand Prix was in the area at the time of the shooting and an officer stopped a vehicle fitting that description.
Four firearms were found inside the car, Rodriguez said.
The investigation led to the arrests of Ladaryan Thrasher and Jarvis Clarke, both 18.
“This incident is related to the shooting that occurred at the Goodwill on Lexington Road” about 5 p.m., Rodriguez said.
Witnesses saw multiple people running from the scene holding pistols with extended clips, according to police.
“There were (14) shell casings that indicated several individuals were firing at each other across the parking lot,” Rodriguez said.
At least five vehicles were damaged. No one was injured.
Two people, Damari Jones and Mortavius Crew, were arrested on aggravated assault and gun charges.
A warrant was taken out on Eberhart on a charge of aggravated assault.
Police have not discussed the role each person allegedly played in the crimes or released any other details.
