GSU student shot in student housing apartments

A 20-year-old Georgia State University student was shot at the One12 Courtland Apartments about 5 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
A property manager said the man was not a resident of the student housing community located at 112 Courtland Street, but a university official confirmed the man is a Georgia State University student.
The man was alert, conscious and breathing as he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Brown said.
No additional information was immediately available.
