Atlanta police released a sketch Friday of a neighborhood tattoo artist sought in connection with a sexual assault on the city’s southwest side.

The man, known only by the street name of “Faco,” is accused of attacking a woman in an apartment on Campbellton Road SW near Childress Drive SW on Aug. 25, police said.

According to an incident report, the female victim told police that someone had let the man into the apartment, and he dropped his pants, exposed himself and begged her to have sex with him. When she refused, the man said “that he just needed 3 minutes of her time because he was going afterwards to get a tattoo,” the report said.

The man pushed the woman into a dining room wall and tried to pull her pants down, but she fought back, screamed and pushed him away, police said. A neighbor heard the woman’s cries and came to her aid, and the man fled.

The victim had a bruise on her lower leg from the fight but was otherwise uninjured, police said.

Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos described the suspect as a black man with tattoos on one forearm and the left side of his neck. The man is about 32 years old but looks younger, stands 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, and has a slim to average build and long dreads that hang past his shoulders, Campos said.

The incident report further described the suspect as having black dreadlocks with light brown hair near the roots in the front of his head, a bushy unibrow, two gold teeth on the left side of his mouth, a thin mustache and thin chin hair. The victim said she had seen the man many times at the apartment complex, and he was always wearing a red backpack.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, or the Atlanta police Special Victims Unit at 404-546-4260. Tips can be made anonymously, and tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
