A man who worked with a local school system for 10 years has been charged with assaulting a student, authorities said Tuesday.

Timothy E. Harrison, 51, a bus driver with Jefferson City School System, faces charges of sexual battery for allegedly touching a 5-year-old boy in the groin area.

Police are investigating and searching video footage from the school bus. The alleged incident happened in April and Harrison has since bonded out of jail.

Jefferson City is located about 60 miles northeast of Atlanta in Jackson County.
