Carruth had been on the run since deputies searched his Forsyth home early Friday and found the drugs and weapons.

No one was home during the search, Monroe County Deputy Marilynne Fitts said.

Carruth has past drug convictions out of Monroe County, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. He served two years and five months for a 2005 cocaine possession conviction. Roughly two years later, he was convicted of cocaine and marijuana possession and distribution and served a year and nine months.

He also served time for a 2001 forgery charge.
