Authorities have charged two men with murder and aggravated assault in the death of Montez Watson, the Walton County man whose body was discovered buried behind a Barrow home.

Michael Huff and Mark Campbell were arrested and are being held in the Barrow County jail, the Walton County sheriff’s office said Thursday. They are expected to be taken to Walton County to face their charges.

Huff has been locked up for several weeks on charges he helped his wife, Jennifer Louise Huff, conceal the death and tamper with evidence at their Fleeman Road rental home.

Investigators found Watson’s body on the property on May 9. The Huffs did not return home during the investigation, prompting the Barrow County sheriff’s office to issue a lookout for the couple.

They were found and arrested a few days later.

Watson had been missing since February, authorities said.
