They said it was just what the doctor ordered.

The two told police they were seeing a doctor who told them to “pretend to shop” instead of stealing, according to an arrest report.

Police said it started when Jayson Harrison and Samantha Bevens filled up a cart with everything from socks to electronics. They said their doctor told them to fill the cart and leave it at the front of the store to fight the urge to steal, but the duo pushed the cart right out of the building.

Several licensed mental health professionals around Tulsa said they doubted a professional would give a directive like that.

There is no doctor named in the arrest report.

Bevens and Harrison were arrested in Broken Arrow for felony grand larceny, but they have since been moved to the Tulsa County Jail.
