A woman was seriously injured when she was dragged down four blocks with her hand trapped in a car, WPXI reported.
The incident began as an altercation between the victim and the driver regarding money.
The victim, Siroya Mitchell, said she tried to get out of the car with money, but never did.
When the door closed on her hand, the driver hit the lock button and started driving.
“When I reached for the handle, she clicked on the lock. When I saw her click on the lock, I lost all control. I knew instantly she was going to drive off,”
Police said Mitchell was dragged by the car shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday.
The drive left her with cuts, bruises, and burns all over her body.
“My head smacked the pavement … I watched my legs get caught under her tires. I watched my shoes get flipped off. I watched my pants get ripped under me. I smelled blood,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell was taken to the hospital by paramedics for treatment, and said she can no longer work as a tattoo artist because she lost feeling in her body.
“I can’t do tattoos. I can’t walk. I can’t feel my daughter. I can’t even feel the people’s hands that help me,” said Mitchell.
Mitchell also said she cannot wear shoes for six months because of the injuries.
The driver has not yet been charged, but police officers are looking for a silver Nissan with Florida license plates.
Relatives of the driver told WPXI that the driver was trying to protect herself.
Police are investigating.
