Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in southwest Atlanta Saturday night in which a juvenile was injured and two houses were riddled with bullets.

The assault happened at about 9 p.m. in the 700 block of Windsor St. SW, according to the police incident report.

The juvenile and his friend told police they were walking on Windsor near Bass St. SW when they heard about 20 gun shots come from a gray vehicle driving down the street, causing them to run for cover.

The juvenile, who suffered graze wounds from the shots and had bullet fragments inside his wounds, was treated at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Residents of two houses on Windsor said their homes had been hit by gunfire.

One person in the neighborhood said she saw several vehicles driving down Windsor close together and that a man hanging outside of one of the vehicles shot in her direction.

A nearby resident with a security camera provided video footage of the incident to police that shows two people firing pistols from the rear passenger windows of a Chevrolet Avalanche. A young man is also seen just seconds later limping down the street, and police said that may have been the juvenile who had been shot.
