Dozens of vehicle break-ins reported in downtown Decatur

Police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that happened in downtown Decatur between Thursday night and Friday morning, Channel 2 Action News reported.

A total of 68 vehicles were entered. They were parked in three different parking decks. One vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, was stolen, according to Channel 2, and valuables were taken from some of the vehicles.

The incidents come during a period of time when there has been a rash of vehicle break-ins in other communities in metro Atlanta.
