Dozens of shell casings were scattered across a South Fulton neighborhood after a shooting early Wednesday morning.

Channel 2 Action News counted nearly 50 casings on Surrey Trail, which is near Penfield Place in a neighborhood off Old National Highway. Investigators were on the scene collecting evidence until just before 4:30 a.m., the news station reported.

South Fulton police have not confirmed the shooting or provided any information on possible victims, according to Channel 2. A neighbor told the news station an ambulance arrived about an hour after the first shots were fired at 12:20 a.m.
