A Gwinnett County woman was stopped by sheriff’s deputies at the judicial center Tuesday afternoon after sending her purse through an X-ray machine. Turns out there was a pistol and 10 rounds of ammunition inside the purse, according to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.

Lesley Lynn Fanning, of Dacula, was arrested at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center by deputies, who also found various medications in a pill bottle in the purse, according to the incident report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Pills in Fanning’s purse included various forms of oxycodone, hydrocodone, amphetamine, Prozac and Motrin, according to the incident report.

Fanning was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a deadly weapon to a gathering, along with a drug charge for not having the pills in their original containers. She was booked into the Gwinnett County jail and released Wednesday night after posting $24,800 bond, jail records show.
