DeKalb County police are looking for a man who they say broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment Saturday morning, assaulted her and kidnapped his 7 year old daughter.

Police say Amadou Barry, 29, climbed up a second story window about 7:30 a.m. to enter the apartment of his ex-girlfriend at the Covington Glen Apartments at 5816 Covington Highway. Once inside he held her and her current boyfriend at gunpoint, police say. Barry assaulted his ex-girlfriend leaving her unconscious, police say, and then fled with his 7 year old daughter, Ramatoulaye Barry.

Amadou Barry is described as a black male, 5’9, slim build, dark complexion and short hair. He has a tattoo “Rama” on his left inner forearm.

Ramatoulaye Barry is described as, 4’0 tall, 90-95 pounds with brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts. She has a scar on her right shoulder and left knee.
