Defense rests in salacious Victoria Rickman trial

Jurors will begin deliberations Friday following closing arguments in the trial of an East Atlanta woman accused of fatally shooting her ex-boyfriend.

Victoria Rickman claims she shot Will Carter following a sexual assault. But prosecutors allege Rickman made up the story and killed Carter because he refused to drop a battery charge against  her.

“Consensual sex or violence? That’s what this case is about,” prosecutor Sheila Ross said.

But credibility could outweigh any evidence that was presented during two-week trial.
