Authorities arrested a 13-year-old girl accused of beating a woman and stealing her car outside Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The attack occurred at 9:30 p.m. Monday while the woman was in a parking lot near the airport, Atlanta police told Channel 2.

The woman told investigators she was about to drive away when two teenagers, one of the them the 13-year-old, walked up to her window and asked for help. Police told Channel 2 the woman rolled down the window and was attacked.

She was left bloodied as the suspects drove away with her car.

“This kind of crime at the airport is extremely rare,” Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos told Channel 2.

Atlanta police eventually recovered the car and arrested the 13-year-old, Channel 2 reported.
