Cops: Peachtree City golf cart flasher arrested

Peachtree City police arrested a 15-year-old boy Friday and charged him with exposing himself while driving a golf cart along the city’s golfing paths.

The teen, who was not identified, allegedly exposed himself this week and on previous occasions.

Police credited “an extensive surveillance operation” with the teen’s capture around 4:30 p.m. Friday.

“The juvenile is being held at the regional youth detention center pending a court hearing in the Fayette County Juvenile Court,” police said in a statement.

The youth is charged with five counts of misdemeanor indecent exposure and one count of misdemeanor sexual battery.

On Thursday, police said they were on the lookout for a flasher behind the wheel of a four-passenger golf cart.

Around 8 p.m. Monday, a young man reportedly driving a dark golf cart with a white top drove past a woman several times before exposing himself to her as she walked. The incident happened on a city golf car path north of Flat Creek Road, police said.

Police said they wanted to know if similar incidents had occurred and asked for the public’s help. People were asked to call 770-631-2510 or the Crime and Narcotics Information Hotline, 770-487-6010.
