A Roswell man claimed he was a long-time nudist and offered to teach teenage girls about womanhood in an advertisement he posted online, according to police.

But when he arrived at a Cobb County park to meet his first client, he met an undercover Marietta officer instead of a 14-year-old girl, his arrest warrant says.

“Do you need a man to help answer your daughters questions?” Norum Michael Cannon posted online, according to police.

An officer responded to the ad and exchanged more than 200 text messages with Cannon, who was also sent photos of a young girl, police said. Cannon asked for nude photos of the girl, but those were not sent.

Cannon offered to instruct the girl on how to do a sexual act by letting her practice on him, according to his arrest warrant. When he arrived Thursday afternoon at Laurel Park, Cannon was confronted by the officer and taken into custody.

At police headquarters, Cannon confessed to placing the ad and sending the texts, police said. He said he used texting apps to remain anonymous and avoid law enforcement, his warrant says.

Cannon, 49, was charged with computer pornography and booked into the Cobb County jail, where he was being held Monday evening on $35,000 bond.
