A man faces multiple charges after he allegedly attacked a teenager who declined his advances while she was headed to work.

Jailin Reynolds, 28, faces battery, loitering, prowling and drug charges in the May 31 attack near a Target on Deerfield Parkway in Milton, according to a police report.

According to the report, Genesis Rostant, 18, was walking to her job at Sally’s Beauty Supply and took a shortcut through the woods behind Target. Reynolds allegedly came up behind her and asked if she had a boyfriend.

“She told him she was just trying to get to work,” Milton police Officer H. Caniparoli wrote in the report.

But police said Reynolds kept nagging her, and at one point said “he’d like to take her out,” the report stated.

Rostant continued walking, but police said Reyonlds attacked her, hitting her multiple times in the head and causing her to fall. Rostant began screaming and ran to the Target parking lot to get out of the woods, according to the report. Reynolds ran in the opposite direction toward an apartment complex near Deerfield Parkway.

A UPS driver told police he saw Rostant running and that she looked terrified when she asked for his help. He then called 911.

She suffered cuts on her hands during the attack.

Police eventually found Reynolds waiting at a MARTA bus stop near Morris Road behind an Exxon gas station. Once he spotted police, Reynolds took off behind the Exxon. He was arrested after a 10-minute chase. Police said they found two bags of marijuana and a half-burned “roach” on him.

This is not the first time Reynolds has allegedly attacked a woman.

In March, he punched a woman in the eye near Georgia State University’s campus and ran away, according to police. The victim elected not to press charges and said she knew Reynolds. No other details were released in that case.
