Conyers police catch alleged human trafficker, rescue 20-year-old woman

Conyers police said they have rescued a 20-year-old sex trafficking victim and arrested her alleged captor.

A social worker from Seattle, Wash. contacted the police department on April 13 to request a welfare check for the 20-year-old woman, since she wasn’t able to contact the victim for a few days, according to the incident report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The woman was staying at Horizon Extended Stay on Old McDonough Highway with Brad Gaskin, the report said.

The woman told police Gaskin made her stay in the room and have sex with men he would arrange to come to the room, the report said. She said this took place for two weeks.

Brad Gaskin was arrested and charged with human trafficking, and he is currently at the Rockdale County Jail, the report said.
