A Cobb County truck driver faces multiple charges, including vehicular homicide, after his truck crashed into multiple cars in Ohio and led to a 14-year-old girl’s death, The Toledo Blade reported.

Chavan Roosevelt Carter, 40, of Powder Springs, was charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and failure to obey a traffic control device, according to the newspaper. Carter’s tractor-trailer crashed into a line of slow-moving cars in an Ohio Turnpike construction zone.

Madison M. Creagan, 14, of West Shokan, N.Y., was pronounced dead at the scene, the newspaper reported. Seven other people were injured.

Carter is being held in the Erie County jail in Milan, Ohio.
