Cobb police investigate fatal hit-and-run

Cobb County police are seeking information in a fatal hit-and-run accident over the weekend.

Joshua Heath Chellew, 36, of Mableton was a pedestrian along Mableton Parkway when a vehicle struck him early Sunday morning, police said.

He was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was taken by ambulance.

The driver did not remain at the scene, and the only information police say they have is that the vehicle may have been small and red.
