A 22-year-old Kennesaw man faces child molestation charges after allegedly raping a family member who was 5 and 6 years old at the time of the abuse, records show.

Lorenzo Archuleta was jailed Friday after his alleged victim told his mother about the abuse, which took place in 2011 and 2012, according to an arrest warrant obtained Wednesday by AJC.com. Archuleta would have been 15 or 16 at the time.

Court records allege the encounters took place in an upstairs room of a home along McGuire Drive that held the family’s computer and sewing machine.

The alleged victim told his mother about the ongoing sexual abuse late last month, and Archuelta was interviewed by police on July 2, records show.

In that interview, the 22-year-old told authorities he “experimented” with the boy on one occasion, but that he couldn’t remember specific details of the encounter, according to his warrant. He also reportedly told police he knew he was “sick and twisted” for doing that to the child.

The alleged victim, who is a teenager now, told authorities Archuleta made him watch pornography while abusing him.

Archuleta is charged with one count each of child molestation and aggravated child molestation, records show. He remains held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
