Paulding County deputies said they found more than they anticipated when a traffic stop led them to a “large amount” of illegal drugs and a gun.

The sheriff’s office said five people were arrested on drug possession charges following the discovery.

The deputies stopped a car March 10 because it didn’t have a tag, Paulding authorities said. The car was pulled over at the Top of the Ridge gas station at the corner of Ridge Road and Cohran Store Road.

Inside, deputies said they found marijuana, methamphetamine, LSD strips and other drugs, along with a gun.

Cedric Dornell Arnold, 17, Keith Farrai Brannon, 20, Maurielle Jevar Williams, 18, Michael Anthony Bannister, 18, and an unnamed 16-year-old were all taken into custody.

They each face the following felony charges: possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of THC vape pens, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of Schedule I LSD acid strips, possession of Schedule I Psilocybin mushrooms and possession of Schedule II Roxicodone.
