A pregnant 18-year-old and her boyfriend found dead in a car on Thanksgiving Day were killed as the result of a robbery, McDonough police said Monday.
Police on Friday arrested Aljahon Joyner, 17, in connection with the deaths of Savannah Fulmer and her 19-year-old boyfriend, Dahmir Robinson. Fulmer and Robinson were shot to death and discovered in a car parked on New Orleans Way.
“The motive for these murders was a drug-related robbery,” McDonough police Maj. Kyle Helgerson said in a news release.

Neighbors told Channel 2 Action News they had never seen the car, which belonged to Fulmer’s family, in the City Square subdivision before. Tara Wells called police the morning of Nov. 28 when she approached the vehicle and saw a male passenger with “a bullet wound to the temple,” she said.
