GBI ID’s man shot by DeKalb motorcycle officers after seat belt stop

The GBI has released the name of the man shot by two DeKalb County motorcycle officers following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
Jamarri Danez Williams, 28, was pulled over on Memorial Drive in an SUV just after 2 p.m. for not wearing his seat belt, the GBI said. According to police, Williams, who had outstanding warrants for his arrest, produced a handgun during the encounter, prompting both officers to fire their weapons.
