A woman wanted in connection with a “parking lot rage” shooting Tuesday morning outside a DeKalb County Target is in custody, police said.

A 47-year-old man stumbled into the store after parking his car on Lavista Road near I-285 after a woman shot him, spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said.

The woman’s name has not yet been released.

The man was taken to Atlanta Medical Center in critical but stable condition.

“It looks like they were trying to merge (in the parking lot) at the same time,” Campbell said. “That’s when the confrontation began.”

Police are seeking the woman, who was driving a black Honda, Campbell said.

No other details were released. Police are reviewing surveillance video from the store.

“Sometimes (parking lot rage) does happen,” Campbell said. “We advise, keep your temper. It’s not worth a parking space.”
