A man was shot and killed in a DeKalb County neighborhood Monday following a “dispute over his pet dog,” police said.
Jordan McPherson, 28, was shot about 3 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Hairston Road, DeKalb police said in a news release. That area is within the Lake Point Drive subdivision near the Park at Carrigan apartments, the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
No suspects have been arrested, police said Tuesday. Investigators do not believe the suspects were attempting to steal the dog.
No other information was released.
