A man accused of raping a woman after forcing her into a vacant Midtown apartment has surrendered to authorities, police announced Tuesday.

Atlanta police released photos and video surveillance footage of the suspect Sunday following the incident at a complex on Juniper Street. Additional photos were released Monday afternoon as investigators renewed efforts to identify him.

In the videos, a man was seen entering the complex before the alleged assault about 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The same man was then seen walking in an apartment breezeway.

He was later identified as 26-year-old Eric Key, according to police. Key surrendered at Atlanta police headquarters Tuesday morning.

He is being held in the Fulton County Jail on charges of sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, rape and kidnapping.
