A downtown Atlanta MARTA station was briefly shut down Wednesday morning after police found a man shot nearby, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Rail service at the Garnett station in the 200 block of Peachtree Street, which is next door to a Greyhound bus station, was disrupted from about 7:15 a.m. until police activity cleared at 7:30 a.m., according to MARTA officials. A bus bridge was established from the West End to Five Points stations for the 15 minutes service was down.

Atlanta police were on scene investigating after a man was reported shot in the area about 6:50 a.m. Responding officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the arm, and he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Officers are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, police told Channel 2. The victim is not cooperating with police.
