A Florida boy was was rushed to a hospital Friday afternoon after being attacked with a machete during a confrontation with another juvenile, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

The boy's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, sheriff's spokesman Teri Barbera said.

Deputies are still searching for the other juvenile.

The injured boy was attacked after getting into a fight with another person just after 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of North A Street and Second Avenue North, according to deputies.

He suffered a machete injury to his arm, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

No additional information on the attack was immediately available.
