A judge denied bond Wednesday for two men charged with the murder of an Alpharetta man, officials said.

SWAT teams from multiple jurisdictions arrested Michael Jamar Dawson of Lithonia, Dontravious Mahone of Riverdale and Jemal Gines of Decatur on Monday night and charged them with the murder of Kadarius Cortez Medlock, 21, who was shot in the head and killed April 21 at The Preserve at Academy on Wade Creek Road, police said.

Gines and Dawson were denied bond in court and will appear again before a judge July 13, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said. Mahone had not been booked as of Wednesday afternoon.

After the arrests, Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon said detectives planned to “intensely” interrogate the three suspects.
