Bartow woman charged in 83-year-old husband’s shooting death

A Bartow County woman fatally shot her 83-year-old husband, a sheriff’s official said Thursday.
Kim McCoy, 58, is charged with murder in the death of James "Sam" McCoy, whose body was found Wednesday afternoon, Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said.

Investigators responded to a Norton Road residence near Kingston for a reported shooting, Rogers said. James McCoy had been shot once.
Investigators questioned his wife and arrested her, Rogers said. She is in the county jail without bond.
