A Bartow County man is behind bars after deputies accused him of possessing and distributing pornography that involved children.

An investigation led the Bartow sheriff’s office to arrest 29-year-old David Lee “Brian” Phillips on multiple counts of sexual exploitation of children.

The sheriff’s office received “several leads” that Phillips had material that showed child sex abuse, the agency said Tuesday in a news release. He was arrested after Bartow deputies and Homeland Security agents executed a search warrant at a home in Adairsville, the sheriff’s office said.

Phillips was taken to the Bartow County Adult Detention Center, where he remains pending a bond hearing.
