Atlanta police have arrested a woman shot in the face Wednesday night as well as the alleged gunman.
Lamont Walton is in the Fulton County jail in connection with the shooting of Yaqonta Hugley in the 3800 block of Princeton Lakes Court in southwest Atlanta.
According to an Atlanta police report, Walton walked up to Hugley’s vehicle and demanded her belongings. He allegedly patted down Hugley’s pockets, shot her in the face and wrist with a pellet gun, and fled the scene in a Pontiac G6.
A passenger in Hugley’s car got the tag number of the Pontiac, which led police to an apartment complex in Cobb County where Walton was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.
Atlanta police also charged Hugley, who was treated at Grady Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening wounds, and her passenger, Daejanne McClenton, with possession of marijuana because a small amount was found on the floorboard of Hugley’s vehicle.
