Jackson County authorities have charged a 20-year-old Atlanta man with raping a 14-year-old girl.

WDUN radio reported that Fidel Julian Hernandez is jailed without bond. Sheriff’s investigators say Hernandez may have assaulted the girl several times, most recently while she was visiting a relative at a residence near Jefferson, which is about an hour northeast of Atlanta.

U.S. deputy marshals arrested Hernandez on a bus in Mississippi, and he was extradited to Jackson County on Aug. 4, WDUN reported.

Hernandez has been charged with rape, three counts of aggravated child molestation, one count of child molestation, two counts of aggravated sodomy, cruelty to children in the first degree and one count of aggravated sexual battery.
