Atlanta cops: Running car stolen with child inside

A child was found unharmed Friday night after the SUV he or she was sitting in was stolen , Atlanta police said.

The Chevrolet Suburban was left running outside a beauty salon on Metropolitan Parkway when “perps jumped in and drove off with a child in the back seat,” police said. The car was located a short distance away near Cleveland Avenue.

“When the vehicle was found,” Atlanta police spokesman Lukasz Sajdak said, “the child was sleeping unharmed.”
